Katie Jacobs Stanton

Katie Jacobs Stanton since July 2010 is head of international strategy at Twitter. In January 2010 she became the Special Adviser to the Office of Innovation at the U.S. Department of State where she made extensive use of Twitter. Previously she was Barack Obama's appointee to the newly created position of Director of Citizen Participation. Stanton is a veteran of Google where her work has included Google Moderator, Google Finance, and the Open Social initiative. Prior to that, she was a producer for Yahoo! Finance.

She is #56 on Forbe's List of World's Most Powerful Women.

She is a 1991 graduate of Rhodes College and received her Masters Degree in 1995 from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).
